Reggae, as ethnomusicologist says Jacob Edgar, is a type of music that easily adapt to diverse cultural environments.
Reggae music actually has long echoed in Indonesia around the beginning of 1980, with the emergence of bands Abreso Reggae Reggae Night event at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol.
In 1986 the band are all young men from Papua personnel are ever performing in Christmas Island for three months initiated by Yorries Raweyai. In 1984 Abreso songs ever recorded Reggae.
Also, still in the era of the 1980s there song "Reggae Dance" sung by Nola Tilaar musical accompaniment by Willie Teuguh. Melky Ayala's song creation is one of reggae song that invites people from various cultural backgrounds can be busy-busy enjoying the reggae.
