Haile Selassie 1

 Haile Selassie 1

An adherent of the belief that unites many Rastafari is that Ras, a knighted Amharic, commensurate with the Duke; also means "Chief" Tafari Makonnen, who was crowned Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia on November 2, 1930, is the living God incarnate, Well known, namely the black Messiah who will lead the nations which came from Africa around the world to enter the promised land of full emancipation and divine justice, although some mansions do not take this literally. This is partly because of his titles King of Kings, Lord of Lords and Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah. These titles correspond to the Messiah mentioned in Revelation. However, according to Ethiopian tradition, the titles are given to all the emperors from the lineage of Solomon since the year 980 BC, long before the Book of Revelation was written in about 97 AD According to some traditions, the king of Ethiopia Haile Selassie was the 225th in a line of uninterruptible since King Solomon in the Bible and the Queen of Sheba. Psalm 87:4-6 is also understood to predict the coronation of Haile Selassie I.
In the 10th century BC, the dynasty of Solomon or Solomon in Ethiopia was founded by Menelik I, son of Solomon, or Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, who had visited Solomon in Israel. 1 Kings 10:13 claims "King Solomon or Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she wants and which he asked, in addition to what has been given to him as worthy of King Solomon, or Solomon. Then the queen went back to his country, together with the employees. Based on the Kebra Negast, Rastas interpret this verse that indicates that the Queen of Sheba pregnant with Solomon's son, and from this they conclude that black people are the true descendants of Israel, or Jews.
The Beta Israel black Jews have lived in Ethiopia for centuries, disconnected from the rest of Judaism. Their presence makes people believe and encourage the early Rastafari, and validate their belief that Ethiopia was Zion. Some orthodox Rastas who blasted reggae as a form of commercial music and "selling themselves to Babylon". For others, this is "YAH Throne Music".
